As part of our ongoing commitment to maintain and improve the recreational facilities for the village, the Parish Council, led by Jacky Carthy and Carole Page, have recently had laid some new rubber mulch surfacing under the swings and play hut in the playground.
The old rubber matting was starting to disintegrate and sink into the grass. The new surfacing will result in less mud underfoot in the winter and also improve safety in case of a fall from the equipment. he surfacing is sustainable as it’s made from recycled rubber and will have a longer life than the previous surfacing.
