Wates the builders have informed the Parish Council that they intend to seek planning permission to build around 90 homes on the land west of Acorn Street between the Village and Hunsdonbury.
They say they will be consulting residents through a leaflet soon to be delivered to households in Hunsdon seeking feedback before any planning application is submitted.
The Parish Council has requested an urgent meeting with Wates to learn more about their proposal.

There will also be space at the Parish Council meeting on 16 November for public discussion, starting 7.30pm in Hunsdon Village Hall to provide an opportunity to share any information and to hear residents’ views and given the scale and significance of this proposed development, to form a community action group to work with the Parish Council as the process develops.
We would emphasise that no formal planning application has yet been submitted. At this stage, Wates is seeking feedback from the local community which is likely to be used in their eventual application. Please make your views known to them. We will shortly prepare a summary of main reasons against this development if you wish to use them.

How silly we are getting a small town (village 7) close to hunsdon ,we do not have anymore room.
Due to housing and population growth around waltham Cross and the Abbey so much traffic ,more crazy drivers in the area.
This is so sad hunsdon has no shops a hospital close by with corridor care ,much hadham gp really over worked ,can the school in hunsdon cope with more children cars ,is anyone involved in the housing going to live there to really take this all in
